Shorty Overview
What Shorty is and what you can do with it — AI summaries, transcription, subtitles, file conversion, and a developer API.
Shorty (aishorty.com) is an AI productivity toolbox built around one idea: turn long content into something you can actually use — fast, and without making you sign up first.
What Shorty does
AI Summarizers
Summarize YouTube videos, web pages, articles, PDFs, Word documents, plain text, and audio.
Transcription and Subtitles
Turn audio and video into text, record and transcribe in real time, and generate SRT, VTT, or burned-in subtitles.
File Converter
Convert and compress files — audio, video, images, and PDFs — right in the browser or in the cloud.
Developer API and MCP
A REST API at aishorty.com/v1, official SDKs, webhooks, and an MCP server for AI assistants.
Free by design
The core tools are free to use with no account or login required. You can summarize a YouTube video, transcribe a recording, or convert a file as a guest. Creating a free account unlocks saved history (your articles and transcriptions) and higher guest limits; the paid Premium and Pro plans raise upload sizes, batch sizes, and durations — see Plans and limits.
Shorty Assistant
Shorty includes a built-in AI chat assistant (available at aishorty.com/chat) that is context-aware: it knows which tool you are using and can help you work with your summaries and transcriptions.
Everywhere you work
Shorty runs in any browser, ships iOS and Android apps, and offers browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge — see Apps and extensions.
