Interview with Ariyanna Beard

CM Robinson arrived at Sullivan Middle School on November 13, 2025, at 12:10 AM to meet with Ariyanna Beard. Ariyanna's mother and best friend, along with the friend's daughter and Ariyanna's sister, were present at home. CM Robinson noted Arielle was dressed appropriately, and no bruises or marks were observed during the contact.

Ariyanna stated she lives with her mother, her mother's best friend, the friend's daughter, and her sister. She disclosed experiencing bullying at school, which the school is aware of and attempts to address.

Ariyanna described a positive relationship with her mother and siblings but a strained one with her father due to his past physical abuse of her mother, often witnessed by Ariyanna in public, and his struggles with alcohol. She stated that her father treated her differently than her siblings and did not communicate with her.

Ariyanna bravely disclosed that her father sexually assaulted her from age 4 to 12. She also expressed concern that her brother might have been sexually assaulted by her father's wife, citing her brother's account of an incident. She mentioned never seeking therapy due to difficulty expressing emotions.

Ariyanna last saw her father approximately 18 to 24 months prior, during which his wife physically assaulted her by throwing a glass dish. She recounted a recent doctor's appointment where a male doctor made her uncomfortable during a spine check. She requested a female nurse and explained her discomfort stemmed from her father's past actions, leading the nurse to report the incident.

Ariyanna stated her father drinks heavily and smokes marijuana, and never worked when they lived together. She indicated she was not ready to discuss her experiences with someone at that time.
