God knows what we need before we ask, but asking is essential as it reveals our dependence on Him. While we might face trials, these experiences can increase our faith. Sin can hinder our communication with God, but repentance restores that connection, allowing God to hear and respond to our prayers.
The Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered, speaking on our behalf to the Father. This intercession is constant and continuous, demonstrating God's unwavering care for believers. Jesus also intercedes for us in heaven, reinforcing the security of our salvation. This continuous prayer from both the Holy Spirit and Jesus ensures that our lives are firmly established in Christ, regardless of our weaknesses or challenges.
The Holy Spirit's work within us drives us toward the nearness of God. We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, submitting to God's will. Every aspect of a believer's life, from daily tasks to grand endeavors, should be an act of worship. Whether consciously or unconsciously, our lives, when submitted to God, become living acts of worship, honoring Him in all we do.
Heaven is always answering. God, who searches our hearts, knows the mind of the Spirit within us. This profound knowledge ensures that our prayers, even when inarticulate, are understood and aligned with the divine will. The sermon encourages believers to live lives of bold faith, stepping out and sharing the gospel, knowing that God works all things for good. The ultimate surrender is to commit our spirit into God's hands daily, trusting Him with every aspect of our lives.
