Summary
The Infinite God: Creation, Manifestation, and Human Life
Highlights
The Infinite God, possessing supreme wisdom, a noble soul, and a pure heart, took on human form to live a social life on Earth. This signifies that the infinite deity, while transcendent, is also immanent in all its manifestations.
In his embodied form, the Infinite God is called Bathou Bwrai or Sibrai. All elements of the universe, including the earth, sun, moon, stars, air, water, and fire, originated from Bathou Bwrai. Following the creation of the universe, Bathou Bwrai created deities and human beings.
According to mythical tradition, God Bathou Bwrai first created his consort, Goddess Bathou Bwri (Sibrwi), from his own being. Together, they created the first man, Mwnsingsing, whose name derives from the Bodo word for 'man.' However, Mwnsingsing chose celibacy. Consequently, Bathou Bwrai and Bathou Bwri procreated another couple, Darimuba and Singridoba, to propagate the human population on Earth.
