Tea Board of India Insurance Scheme

This policy is issued by Insurance Company in collaboration with the Tea Board of India. It targets beneficiaries aged 18 to 70 years, specifically covering workers certified by small tea growers in various Indian regions including Assam, Northeastern states, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Himachal Pradesh. The scheme aligns with the XII plan scheme guideline for the welfare of tea garden workers.

The scheme is effective for one year from its start date. The premium per person is Rs. 14, with the Tea Board of India covering 75% of this cost, and the remaining 25% contributed by the workers.

Insured individuals receive specific benefits: Rs. 2 Lacs in case of death, Rs. 2 Lacs for the loss of two limbs, two eyes, or one limb and one eye, Rs. 1 Lacs for the loss of one limb or one eye, and Rs. 2 Lacs for other Permanent Total Disablement (PTD) injuries.
