A small village has a river with a very narrow bridge, suitable for only one person at a time. One day, two goats approach the bridge from opposite directions and meet in the middle, creating a stalemate.

Neither goat is willing to back down. They each claim to be stronger and older, leading to an argument that quickly escalates into a physical fight, with one goat striking the other with its horns.

The second goat realizes that continuing to fight will lead to both of them falling into the river and drowning. He suggests a peaceful solution: he will lie down, and the other goat can walk over him.

The wise goat lies down, and the other goat carefully crosses over. This allows both goats to safely pass each other and continue their journeys. The moral of the story is that a wise person makes their own decisions.
