Summary
Highlights
Kavita wakes up in a new home, seemingly married to Birju. She's disoriented, unable to recall how she got there and confused by the basic living conditions, including power cuts. Birju tries to make her comfortable, but Kavita remains largely silent and detached.
Kavita continues to struggle, staying in bed all day. Birju discovers a blown fuse, highlighting the lack of electricity. During a market visit, Kavita behaves erratically, picking the wrong vegetables, causing Birju to question her mental state.
Kavita finally speaks, revealing her belief that she is married to a famous actor named Sameer and that she was at her own home a week ago. She shows Birju a picture of Sameer as proof. Birju attempts to explain that her memory is flawed and that their current reality is the truth, leading to an emotional outburst from Kavita who insists on returning to Sameer.
Birju tries to explain the concept of perception using stars as an analogy, suggesting that what one sees isn't always current. Kavita expresses her desire to return to her previous life, and Birju promises to figure out a way by morning, urging her to sleep.
The next morning, Birju tells Kavita he has made a decision: he will leave her, believing she isn't happy with him and constantly compares their life to others. He calls himself a 'simple normal physics teacher' in contrast to her 'Bollywood star' perception. He reiterates the idea that 'truth is stranger than fiction'.
