DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

Location and Travel

This role requires living within a reasonable commuting distance of the SF office and appearing in the office as needed, with less than 10% domestic travel.

CI/CD and Automation

The role involves designing, maintaining, and automating CI/CD pipelines, along with developing tools for managing software releases across various environments (development, QA, production). It also includes building container image publishing workflows and creating scripts for cross-repository configuration management.

Build System and Troubleshooting

Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining build system projects and pipelines, as well as troubleshooting common issues such as build failures, dependency conflicts, and infrastructure problems. Collaboration with engineering teams is essential to enhance deployment processes.

Release Management and Code Health

The position manages software releases, including scheduling, communicating timelines and delays to stakeholders, and assessing quality. It also entails measuring code health, understanding its impact on developer productivity, troubleshooting issues, and implementing tooling improvements.
