He is bound to a 'Many Children, Many Fortunes' system and assigned Gu Yuanyao, a powerful Jindan master with broken spiritual roots and a year left to live. Through dual cultivation, their union activates the system, granting him a 'Heaven and Earth in Harmony' dual cultivation technique and the potential to restore her spiritual roots.
Xu Jianqiu, with his improved talisman-making skills (now at Grade 1, equivalent to Foundation Establishment strength), goes to sell talismans in town. He encounters Han Ye, a dandy who interferes with his business. After publicly humiliating Han Ye with his talismans, Xu becomes a popular, albeit expensive, talisman seller. Later, he is ambushed by cultivators hired by Han Ye, but his wife, Gu Yuanyao, saves him, revealing her still formidable power.
Gu Yuanyao announces her pregnancy. Xu Jianqiu expresses his desire for a peaceful life with his family, regardless of his cultivation level. He upgrades his talisman-making skills to Grade 2, allowing him to create more powerful talismans. He also discovers that the artifacts dropped by the robbers can be exchanged for spirit stones, and he starts studying the formation spells he found. Later, their dual cultivation efforts help Gu Yuanyao make a breakthrough to the Yuan Ying realm.
Gu Yuanyao reveals that her sister, Ye Qingxuan, is also severely injured and nearing death. She asks Xu Jianqiu to use his dual cultivation method to help Ye Qingxuan heal. Despite Qingxuan's initial skepticism and pride, she eventually accepts Xu's help after witnessing Gu Yuanyao's recovery. Xu also discovers his talent for formation making, creating a complex formation disk deemed a work of genius.
Xu Jianqiu, Gu Yuanyao, and Ye Qingxuan go to the Marriage Bureau, where they encounter Han Ye and his fiancée. Han Ye, still resentful, attempts to cause trouble but is silenced by the appearance of Xu's two powerful wives. Xu and Ye Qingxuan formalize their union at the Marriage Bureau. Meanwhile, Han Ye, furious at being humiliated, plots revenge with his father, Han Long, an alchemist from the Immortal Mansion.
Han Ye confronts Xu Jianqiu with hired thugs, but Xu uses his advanced talismans and formations to defeat them. Fearing for his life, Han Ye recognizes Xu as his 'godfather' to survive, triggering a system reward for Xu. Xu then undertakes a mission to the Demon Forest, the former Immortal and Demon Battlefield where Gu Yuanyao's spiritual remnant was left, to retrieve it and fully restore her foundation.
In the Demon Forest, Xu Jianqiu encounters Qin Ziyue, a disciple of the Five Elements Immortal Sect, who is poisoned by a daemon. After healing her with his Pure Yang Sacred Body, they discover a demonic resurgence. Qin Ziyue also teaches Xu a powerful technique, the 'Five Element Extermination Light'. They join other cultivators to confront a demon, during which Xu, using his advanced talismans and formations, defeats powerful opponents and gains another 'adopted son' in Cao Kun.
Gu Yuanyao and Ye Qingxuan completely recover their spiritual roots. They attend a ceremony at the Canghai Ming Sect, where Qin Baiwei, one of the people responsible for their injuries, is being celebrated for her breakthrough. A fierce confrontation ensues, with Gu Yuanyao challenging Qin Baiwei and Ye Qingxuan defending her honor against Su Manli, another former accomplice. The fight highlights the restored strength of Xu's wives and his own growing power.
Xu Jianqiu, tired of hiding his true strength, reveals his abilities as a 'God of Transformation Heavenly Father' and humiliates Qin Baiwei. The Sect Master arrives, followed by Qin Ziyue, who further exposes the corrupt practices of the Immortal Mansion. The Sect Master, it is revealed, was a pawn of the Immortal Mansion, and the 'fight against demons' was a scheme to harvest cultivators as resources. He attempts to use a demonic artifact on his followers to capture Xu, but Gu Yuanyao's master, Cang Lan, intervenes.
Cang Lan confronts the Sect Master, revealing the Immortal Mansion's true nature and their exploitation of cultivators. The Sect Master attempts to turn his disciples into demonic cultivators to attack Xu, but Cang Lan protects them. Qin Ziyue, now officially bound to Xu as his third wife, helps him escape. Xu later receives a 'full level experience card' from his system due to a system malfunction, turning him into a Golden Immortal for a short duration. He confronts the true mastermind, Master Yuan Xu, revealing his role in the corruption and the murder of Cang Lan. Xu defeats Yuan Xu and, with his wives, leaves the corrupted system for a new life at the Five Elements Immortal Sect.
