Despicable Me | Bonus: "The Minions" | Illumination

Origins and Design Evolution00:00:24

The Minions were originally conceived as large, muscular henchmen similar to Stormtroopers. However, due to production constraints and the need for a different dynamic, they evolved into the small, genetically engineered subterranean creatures seen in the film.

Personality and Character Dynamics00:01:03

While the Minions are Gru's reliable helpers, they possess child-like qualities. They are frequently distracted, prone to fighting, and exhibit a unique blend of innocence and mischief that makes them both lovable and chaotic.
