Highlights
The PlayStation Access Controller is introduced as a circular device with eight large perimeter buttons and a joystick, developed with the accessibility community in mind.
Users can create their own button layouts with swappable buttons and customize stick caps with different heights and textures. The stick arm is also adjustable for optimum comfort.
The controller allows for building custom profiles by remapping buttons, assigning two inputs to a single button, and setting buttons to toggle on/off. Stick sensitivity and deadzone can also be tuned.
A button on the stick face allows for quick swapping between up to three custom profiles. The controller is built for play at any 360-degree position and can be placed on flat surfaces or attached to an AMPS compatible mount.
Four expansion ports allow for personalized setups. The Access Controller can be combined with other PlayStation controllers, such as the DualSense wireless controller, offering a customizable kit for empowered play.
Pre-orders for the Access Controller begin on July 21st, 2023, available at direct.playstation.com and select retailers.
