Highlights
ICU Management and Stabilization
From July 24th to July 29th, the patient was managed in the CTICU while on high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen support. Treatment involved a complex regimen of intravenous antibiotics—including Meropenem, Doctrim, Amikacin, Zyvoxid, and Caspolyn—alongside Precedex for sedation, albumin infusions, and regular chest physiotherapy.
Transition to General Ward
On July 29th, the patient was successfully transitioned from oxygen therapy to room air and transferred to the Paediatric High Care unit for monitoring. By July 30th, the patient was downgraded to a general ward, where they are now coping well on room air while continuing respiratory physiotherapy and maintaining nutritional intake via nasogastric tube.
