I begin the video with McDonald's new products, including Shaker Fries with lime and chilli flavor and the new Creamy Chipotle Sauce. I'm not a big fan of McDonald's fries seasoning, but I'm curious about the new spicy options. The Shaker Fries with lime and chili are not as hot as expected, but the Creamy Chipotle Sauce makes me sweat. There's also a new 'Spicy Chicken' that's supposed to be hot, but at first, it's not. However, the spiciness builds up slowly, leading to coughing and tears. The 'Hot Pocket' is also tried, but it's an immediate fail — I find it disgusting.
Next up, I try two new Starbucks drinks: the Iced Pumpkin Spice Matcha and the Melon Flavor Pearls Starbucks Refresher. I generally dislike matcha, finding its taste akin to dirt. The Pumpkin Spice Matcha is as terrible as expected. The Melon Refresher with pearls is more appealing, but the pearls get stuck in the straw. The drinks are very high in sugar and calories, leading to a sugar rush and feeling unwell. The prices for these drinks are also very high, making them a questionable value.
KFC introduces a Cheese and Bacon Burger with a special cheese sauce and Bacon Cheese Fries. I am skeptical of the appearance of the fries, which look unappetizing. The smell of coleslaw, however, is a positive. The Bacon Cheese Burger, especially when dipped in the cheese sauce, is surprisingly good. The cheese sauce on the fries is also delicious. However, the Chicken Wings with bones and cartilage are a turn-off for me, but my colleague Alex enjoys them immensely.
Burger King surprises with a Kebab Style Burger and Kebab Style Fries, also known as Pomdöner. This includes Ayran, a classic drink with kebab. The burger, served on flatbread with sesame seeds, looks fresh with tomatoes and lettuce. The taste reminds me of a real doner kebab, especially with the tzatziki-like sauce and Ayran. Despite the beef patty, which feels a bit random, the overall experience is a success. I'm genuinely impressed with Burger King's interpretation of a kebab. Alex loves it too.
Finally, I try Subway's Dönerstyle Sub. I wonder why there's a current trend for döner-style fast food. I'm a big fan of Subway, especially their Chicken Teriyaki. The Dönerstyle Sub contains ingredients like olives, onions, and pickles, which I usually don't like. The sub doesn't taste like doner at all; it's more like a regular Subway sandwich with yogurt sauce and a mix of vegetables. While not bad, it doesn't meet the 'döner-style' expectation. I conclude by asking viewers for more new fast food products to review.
