CvSU 101 Episode 2

This second episode of the institutional orientation will cover the university's vision, mission, quality policy, tenets, and the CvSU hymn. It follows up on the previous episode which discussed the university's logo, acronym, official name, and history.

The university's mission is to provide excellent, equitable, and relevant educational opportunities in arts, sciences, and technology through quality instruction, relevant research, and development activities. It aims to produce professional, skilled, and morally upright individuals for global competitiveness. The mission emphasizes the role of instructors in providing quality education and engaging students in community development, and the characteristics expected of its graduates.

The Quality Policy is the university's pledge to uphold the highest standards of education, value stakeholders, strive for continuous improvement of products and services, and maintain university standards of truth, excellence, and service. This policy aims to produce globally competitive and morally upright individuals.

The three core tenets of the university are truth, excellence, and service. Truth is demonstrated through objectivity and honesty in academic work. Excellence is manifested through self-confidence, punctuality, diligence, and commitment. Service is shown through respect, rapport, fairness, cooperation, love for nature, and support for humanity.
