Summary
Highlights
The sermon begins by highlighting that satisfaction can halt God's operations. The prophet's instruction to 'gather vessels, not a few' signifies God's continuous desire to do new things. We are encouraged to never be satisfied with current blessings but to constantly expect more, as robust expectations are crucial to seeing new moves from God. Examples include desiring hundreds and thousands of healings instead of just a few, and God training us to ask for more than just personal needs, extending to nations.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit provokes illumination and revelation. True leadership stems from understanding and wisdom, not just being in front. The Holy Spirit grants access to knowledge and mysteries, enlightening our understanding to know our calling and embrace it fully. This revelation also unveils the exceeding riches and glory available to saints, including wisdom, favor, and spiritual empowerment, which are far greater than monetary wealth.
God brings new seasons, which are wombs of new opportunities and graces. When spirits fight, they can alter seasons, affecting all opportunities. Jesus's experience in the wilderness, after being announced, demonstrates the battle against temptations to alter a season. To fulfill destiny, one must overcome battles of temptations, gates (authorities), doors (adversaries/opportunities), and windows (blessings). God's new thing often involves restoring lost seasons and opening new ones filled with divine encounters and a hunger for prayer.
God's new things often involve new understanding, which is critical for receiving blessings. Many are limited by wrong perceptions, such as believing holiness is impossible or that success only comes from hard work. God can change these perceptions through experiences, instructions, or encounters, leading to a journey of purity or a realization of grace's provision. The speaker recounts personal experiences where God challenged his understanding of financial provision, shifting his reliance from honorariums to divine favor.
New things also manifest as fresh encounters that mock impossibilities. Miraculous events like a virgin becoming pregnant or a young boy becoming a national ruler are products of divine encounters. These encounters are so profound that they visibly change individuals. When these encounters happen, they cut through natural chronology and lineage, elevating individuals beyond their circumstances, proving that what God does, no man can stop.
God releases new graces such as favor, wisdom, and anointings, which are higher currencies than money. Moral currencies like integrity and character are superior to physical money, and spiritual currencies like prayer, the blood of Jesus, and anointing are even higher. Favor, for example, sponsors encounters, breaks protocols, enables wealth transfer, and makes men submit. These graces accelerate destiny and enable accomplishments beyond natural competence, empowering profound impact.
Along with graces, God releases new mercies that preserve us, especially as our lives gain impact and attract adversaries. While faith is essential, mercy acts as a system of preservation against wicked men, demons, and destructive laws. Mercies are new every morning, ensuring protection even against lawful captives or self-inflicted errors, overriding judgment and enabling continuous progress.
To enter into these new things, five steps are crucial: 1. Forget the past: Holding onto past pains, betrayals, or even former graces can limit new moves of God. 2. Sustain expectations: Never be satisfied; keep hunger for more robust, as expressed in continuous prayer for greater manifestations. 3. Sustain prayer and intimacy: Stay in God's presence, not just with a shopping list, but to discover His will and hidden truths. 4. Obey: God reveals new things to the obedient; disobedience hinders access to new revelations. 5. Embrace the prophetic: Prophecy brings dry bones to life and lifts generations to new pedestals by revealing Christ and His power.
