Summary
High Care Medical Progress Report: 07/07 to 09/07
Highlights
Between July 7th and July 9th, the patient remained in high care with a GCS of 14/15, though consistently presented as confused and disorientated. Vital signs fluctuated with occasional elevated blood pressure and glucose levels, which were managed via insulin and medication. Oxygen support was successfully weaned by the 8th, and the patient showed stable vitals by the 9th.
The patient was managed with CVP, urinary catheters, and IV infusions including precedex, which was ordered to be weaned on the 8th. The patient received physiotherapy, and multiple specialists (Dr. Nayager, Dr. Oliver, Dr. Ramsial, and Dr. Lachman) provided input. Discussions regarding future oncology treatment plans were held with the family.
On July 9th, the patient was successfully downgraded to the general ward. General ward stay has been authorized from July 9th to July 19th; however, administrative review is requested as the status currently remains unpaid.
