Deleting a light, description and sector on an ADMIRALTY Standard Nautical Chart

Referencing the NM Position00:00:17

Begin by using the grid box to reference the NM position on the chart. Then, use the latitude and longitude guides on the tracing and the chart to accurately position the tracing.

Deleting the Light and Description00:00:33

Identify the light and description to be deleted. Remove the tracing to expose the chart. Using a magenta 0.25 pen and a ruler, double strikethrough the description text. Also, delete the light and flare with diagonal double strikethroughs.

Deleting the Associated Sector00:00:56

Relay the tracing over the chart to identify the associated sector for deletion. Using a magenta 0.18 pen, delete the sector with diagonal double strikethroughs over the sector arms, including the associated color and arrowheads.

Checking and Updating the Chart00:01:22

Finally, lay the tracing back over the chart to confirm that the correct light, description, and sector have been deleted. Once all updates are applied, add the NM update number to the chart's Notices to Mariners section in the bottom left corner.
