Highlights
A small mouse is constantly disturbed by the thunderous snoring of a huge bear who has been hibernating all winter. Despite the mouse's attempts to wake him with shouts and a bugle, the bear remains fast asleep, causing the mouse great distress.
Other forest animals suggest the mouse seek help from the mighty lion, known for his loud roar. Though initially terrified, the mouse approaches the sleeping lion. The lion, dismissive of the tiny mouse, refuses to help.
The proud lion, moments after rejecting the mouse, finds himself suffering from an unbearable itch. The mouse, returning home sadly, discovers the lion frantically scratching himself and realizes the lion is covered in fleas.
Despite the lion's rude comments, the brave mouse jumps onto the lion and meticulously removes all the fleas. The lion endures extreme itching during the process, even jumping into a lake and shaking himself, nearly drowning the mouse.
Once all the fleas are gone, the lion feels immense relief and apologizes for his earlier disdain, acknowledging the mouse's kindness. Out of gratitude, the lion carries the mouse home. Upon hearing the bear's snoring, the lion lets out a powerful roar, finally waking the sleepy bear and bringing an end to the mouse's sleepless nights, much to the amusement of all the forest animals.
