Matthew Smith, President of Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA (Kaua'i Coffee Company's parent company), emphasized that the new lease provides crucial stability, allowing the local team to thrive and contribute to job creation.
The new lease also protects Kaua'i Coffee Company's Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade, and Non-GMO Project certifications. The company will continue its stewardship of Important Agricultural Lands, ensuring sustainable practices. James Priestley, Vice President of Brue Baukol Capital Partners, highlighted that the agreement preserves local jobs, maintains agricultural land use, and opens avenues for future agricultural activities and community benefits.
