Role Overview: Wiring Systems Design Engineer

Core Engineering Responsibilities

The role focuses on the design and development of wiring systems for new and existing projects. Key tasks include creating 2D/3D harness routing drawings, managing design releases, executing module splits, defining logistic codes, and performing schematic designs and wire dimensioning.

Project and Change Management

Engineers are responsible for Change Management and resident design engineering, which involves evaluating customer systems and maintaining regular communication with customer engineers to ensure technical alignment and satisfaction.

Operational Standards and Methodology

All technical documentation and design processes must adhere to customer specifications, legal standards, and safety/environmental regulations. The work is guided by the LEONI Production System, integrating principles of Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Six Sigma to meet financial targets and project objectives.
