Highlights
Little Red Riding Hood, named for her red cloak, is asked by her mother to take a basket of food to her sick grandmother who lives in a cottage across the forest. Her mother warns her not to talk to strangers.
On her way, Little Red Riding Hood stops to pick wildflowers for her grandmother. She then encounters a big bad wolf, forgetting her mother's warning. She tells the wolf about her grandmother's illness and her destination.
The wolf, hungry, quickly devises a plan. He rushes to Grandma's cottage, swallows Grandma whole, and then disguises himself in her bed, wearing her glasses and nightcap, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Red Riding Hood arrives at the cottage and notices her 'grandmother' looks different, commenting on her big eyes, ears, and finally, her big teeth. The wolf then reveals himself and swallows Little Red Riding Hood.
A woodsman, hearing Little Red Riding Hood's shriek, enters the cottage and rescues both Little Red Riding Hood and Grandma from the wolf. The wolf runs away and is never seen again. Little Red Riding Hood learns a valuable lesson about not talking to strangers.
