Summary
Highlights
A child asks for fries and a toy. She gets a belt buckle, but she wanted a space ranger toy. The staff member says they are for "marketing." The child and her parent leave, frustrated.
The belt buckle toy ends up at a fast-food playground called the 'Palace of Breadcrumbs' and embarks on an adventure, thinking it's a game. He encounters various challenges, like boiling lava, and enjoys the thrill of play.
Inside the 'Palace of Breadcrumbs,' the cowboy toy discovers a support group for unwanted fast-food toys. Neptunia, the leader, welcomes him. She introduces the group, and each toy shares their story of how they were rejected or replaced by children.
Neptunia suggests a role-playing exercise. The cowboy toy, Bas Astral, is paired with another toy who pretends to be a child. Bas initially enjoys being played with, but then experiences the pain of being discarded when the 'child' leaves him behind. He realizes how the other toys feel.
The group decides they need to get inside the 'Palace of Breadcrumbs' to rescue a friend. They brainstorm ideas on how to infiltrate the building, including disguising themselves as fries or using a concrete mixer.
Bas, the ranger toy, confesses his past mistakes of being arrogant and thinking he was the main prize. He expresses that with the support of his new friends, he now understands that being part of a community is the real reward.
