Highlights
Maggie and her family of flies are on a trip to the 'human world', observing a yawning man. Maggie becomes infatuated with the idea of having a pet germ, much to her parents' dismay, who don’t want to be associated with spreading germs.
Despite her parents' strict rules, Maggie sneaks a small germ, whom she names Jeremy, into their home to be her pet. She attempts to clean and train him, rewarding him with moldy food.
Maggie tries to teach Jeremy basic commands like lying down and using paper for the bathroom. After leaving Jeremy alone to get him a surprise, her parents discover the germ, leading to a huge argument where they forbid her from keeping him.
Heartbroken, Maggie decides to return Jeremy, but the germ escapes, causing a panic in Sticky Feet, their home. The 'Swat Team' is called to capture Jeremy, leading to a chaotic chase.
Maggie volunteers to take Jeremy back herself, realizing her desire to keep him was selfish. She takes him to his natural environment and sets him free, apologizing for her actions and saying goodbye.
