Highlights
The session welcomes attendees to the new edition of the Territorial Network of Digital Culture for the 2025-26 academic year, with an introduction by Roser Cussó, head of the Digital Culture Area. Vanesa Mases is introduced as the new Subdirector of Research and Digital Culture, who will present the general lines of work for her sub-directorate and the Digital Culture Area.
Vanesa Mases officially welcomes everyone and briefly outlines the primary objectives of the Department of Education and Professional Training, focusing on improving and reinforcing student learning in mathematical and Catalan language competencies. The Digital Culture Area aims to align with these challenges, summing efforts towards these goals, with more detailed work lines for 2024-25 to be discussed in this and subsequent sessions.
The organization of the Territorial Network for the current year is explained, clarifying any doubts. Similar to last year, there are two Subnetworks: the Digital Coordination Subnetwork (COOR), which certifies 25 hours, and the Digital Commissions Subnetwork (COMD), which has been modified. The COMD now offers two modalities: a 30-hour face-to-face option and a 10-hour option focusing on web seminar viewing.
The session then focuses on Portals Educatius (EDU), detailing the current state of the new EDU platform. The platform's major reform last year consolidated its new visual format, making it reliable and accessible. Future plans include developing new interactives and workshops, updating existing resources, and exploring new formats to enrich and expand the EDU platform.
A detailed description of the EDU's structure is provided, emphasizing the importance of the dynamic main page as a gateway for all users, from early childhood to high school and vocational training. The platform categorizes content by resource type, highlights specific resources from third parties, and features interactives (a star product), collections, an agenda, and games to engage students.
The search function for resources by stage and subject is presented, explaining that all subject pages share a common structure with color variations. The integration of tags is highlighted as a new feature to facilitate navigation and efficiently direct users to relevant content. The 'interactives' are re-emphasized as a key product, continuously growing in mathematical, linguistic, and cultural domains.
The EDU also offers workshops, which provide downloadable and printable materials, often focusing on plastic arts and involving experimentation with 3D printing. The initiative to recycle and visually update older, high-quality material using eXeLearning and Ruffle (for emulating Flash content) is discussed, ensuring popular older resources, like 'Joc de la Prehistòria,' remain accessible.
The primary goal for EDU this year is to continue being a reference point, combining stability, quality, and innovation. The aim is to expand its use beyond students to families for academic reinforcement at home. The team encourages users to explore EDU and provide feedback or suggestions for improvement, stressing the value of community input.
Roser Cussó explains the new order regulating the accreditation of digital competence for teachers. This new order, published in June 2025, replaces a previous resolution and will be definitive. It specifies that existing accreditation levels (A1 to B2) remain valid, but new accreditations or level upgrades will be subject to this new order.
A significant change is that A1, A2, B1, and B2 levels can now only be achieved through specific level training courses, not by accumulating training hours. For example, a B1 level will require certification from a B1-specific training course. The requirement for a school director's certificate for B1 and B2 levels is also removed.
An A2 level will be automatically accredited to teachers who graduated with a degree in education from Catalan universities from the 2024-25 academic year onwards. For B1, other forms of achievement include evaluation of professional practice or specific tests (to be announced). For B2, those with a recognized digital competence professional profile will also be automatically accredited. Teachers with B1 can upgrade to B2 with a 10-hour complementary course from the Digital Culture Area.
A major new feature is the introduction of C1 and C2 levels. A forthcoming call for applications will allow teachers to present evidence for these levels directly, without needing prior lower-level accreditations. The order specifies the required evidence, which will be evaluated by a committee. Details on merits and requirements will be provided when the call is published.
The new order can be consulted on the Portal de Centres and Intranet (Digital). Any questions or doubts regarding the new accreditation order can be sent to formaciotac or culturadigital email addresses. It's reiterated that current digital competence levels are not affected by the change, which only applies to new accreditations from June 26 onwards.
The session concludes by reminding attendees about the support spaces for the network: Nodes Digital (projectes.xtec.cat/digital) for updates and direct access information, and NUS virtual community for sharing and resolving doubts. Attendees are directed to their respective subnetworks (COMD for Digital Commissions, COD for Coordinations) using links found on Nodes Digital, with the next session scheduled for November 11.
