Alpha Schools is transforming education using AI to offer personalized learning, replacing traditional classrooms with AI tutors. Alpha Schools is rapidly expanding with about 50 locations opening across the country. The success of the model stems not just from AI but from transforming the teacher's role. Teachers, now called 'guides,' focus on motivational and emotional support, helping students unlock their potential rather than on lesson planning or grading. Price addresses common AI criticisms: Alpha Schools doesn't use chatbots (which they consider 'cheat bots') and emphasizes 'smart screen time' for personalized learning, resulting in less overall screen time than traditional schools.

The federal government, including Education Secretary Linda McMahon, supports Alpha Schools' model, recognizing AI's potential to enhance education without replacing teachers. The AI serves as an additional tool for teachers. Price explains that while Alpha Schools offers a refined private education experience, efforts are underway to make it accessible to lower-income families. Through initiatives like the Texas Sports Academies and school choice programs, the academic platform will be available for free to students from families earning under $65,000 annually, potentially creating the largest school district in Texas.

Addressing concerns from unions and educators, Price acknowledges that changes can make teachers nervous. However, she believes teachers can embrace this model as it enhances their ability to make a positive impact by allowing them to focus on guiding and supporting students rather than traditional lecturing. Alpha Schools prioritizes students' learning and development, fostering an environment where kids love school and can unlock their full potential.
