Summary
Highlights
Welcome to the Amis Tejiendo Momentos channel. This tutorial is for crocheting a beautiful Wolf Chan, part of the Stray Kids SKZOO collection. Wolf Chan represents Bang Chan, the leader. Before starting, gather your materials and be familiar with basic crochet stitches. The finished amigurumi will be about 15-17 cm tall. English and Spanish subtitles are available, so activate them if needed.
Begin with white yarn, creating 9 chains. From the second chain, make 1 increase, 6 single crochets (sc), and 1 increase, then repeat on the other side for a total of 20 sc. Continue increasing in subsequent rounds: (1 sc, inc) x10 for 30 sc; (2 sc, inc) x10 for 40 sc; (9 sc, inc) x4 for 44 sc; (10 sc, inc) x4 for 48 sc; (11 sc, inc) x4 for 52 sc; (12 sc, inc) x4 for 56 sc; (13 sc, inc) x4 for 60 sc. Crochet three rounds of 60 sc.
Start a round with 30 sc in white, changing to gray on the last stitch. For color changes, carry the unused yarn on the back without pulling it too tightly to avoid deformation. Continue alternating gray and white following specific stitch counts: 7 sc gray, 7 sc white, 3 sc gray, 7 sc white, 37 sc gray. Note where the eye sockets will go. To keep color changes straight, crochet only in the front loops for the next few rounds. Repeat the previous round using front loops, then adjust counts as shown, e.g., 8 sc gray, 6 sc white, 3 sc gray, 6 sc white, 37 sc gray.
Continue with specific color changes: 8 sc gray, 5 sc white, 5 sc gray, 5 sc white, 37 sc gray; then 9 sc gray, 3 sc white, 7 sc gray, 3 sc white, 38 sc gray. After these color changes, resume working in full stitches for 5 more rounds of 60 sc. Define the gray part's contour using a darker gray yarn and slip stitches around the edge. For the eyes and face, refer to the provided image link in the description. Embroider eyes with black yarn and attach a felt nose. Embroider the smile.
Start decreasing the head: (8 sc, dec) x6 for 54 sc; (7 sc, dec) x6 for 48 sc; (6 sc, dec) x6 for 42 sc; (5 sc, dec) x6 for 36 sc; (4 sc, dec) x6 for 30 sc; (3 sc, dec) x6 for 24 sc. Stuff the head, maintaining its shape. Continue decreasing: (2 sc, dec) x6 for 18 sc; (1 sc, dec) x6 for 12 sc. Finish stuffing and make 6 decreases. Fasten off and close the opening with a wool needle. Add Chan's dimples with gray yarn and embroider the forehead lock from the reference image.
For the ears, start with a magic ring of 4 sc in white. Increase: 4 increases for 8 sc; (1 sc, inc) x4 for 12 sc. Crochet one round of 12 sc. Increase further: (3 sc, inc) x3 for 15 sc; (4 sc, inc) x3 for 18 sc; (5 sc, inc) x3 for 21 sc. Crochet three more rounds of 21 sc. Then, create a flap: make 4 sc, chain 1 and turn, 8 sc, chain 1 and turn, 8 sc, chain 1 and turn, 4 decreases, chain 1 and turn, 4 sc. Single crochet around the entire piece to finish the edge. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing, and make another identical ear. Sew the ears to the head, giving them a slight curvature and placing them close together at the top, referring to the reference image.
Cut black felt shapes to cover the inside of the ears and glue them. For the legs, start with white yarn and a magic ring of 6 sc. Increase: 6 increases for 12 sc; (6 increases, 6 sc) for 18 sc. Crochet one round of 18 sc. Decrease: (6 decreases, 6 sc) for 12 sc; (3 decreases, 6 sc) for 9 sc. Change to gray yarn on the last stitch. With gray, make 9 sc in BLO (back loop only) and then four more rounds of 9 sc. Fasten off the first leg, make another, and stuff both. Join the legs by making 3 chains from the first leg and connecting to the second leg. In the connecting round, make (3 sc, inc) x6 for 30 sc; then (4 sc, inc) x6 for 36 sc. Crochet four more rounds of 36 sc.
Stuff the legs. Start decreasing the body: (4 sc, dec) x6 for 30 sc. Crochet two more rounds of 30 sc. Decrease further: (3 sc, dec) x6 for 24 sc. Crochet two more rounds of 24 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the body and sew the head to the body, ensuring it's not twisted, using pins for placement if necessary.
For the arms, start with a magic ring of 5 sc. Make 5 increases for 10 sc. Crochet six more rounds of 10 sc. Stuff the arm slightly, flatten it, and crochet 5 sc across the opening. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Make another arm. Sew the arms to each side of the body, on the fourth round from the neck. Cut a small white felt circle and glue it to the wolf's tummy. For the tail, use white yarn and a magic ring of 5 sc. Increase: 5 increases for 10 sc; (1 sc, inc) x5 for 15 sc. Crochet one round of 15 sc. Fasten off, leaving a tail, and sew the tail to the back of the body, flattening it slightly.
To make the shirt, use a hook one size larger than for the body (e.g., 3mm if body was 2mm). Start with 27 chains. From the second chain, make 26 sc. Chain 1, turn, and make 4 sc. Repeat for a total of three rows of 4 sc, then fasten off. Skip 4 stitches at the base, join black yarn in the fifth, and make 10 sc. Chain 1, turn, make (inc, 8 sc, inc) for 12 sc. Chain 1, turn, and make 12 sc. Skip 4 stitches at the base again, join black yarn in the fifth, and make three rows of 4 sc, fastening off at the end of the last row.
Chain 1, turn. In the first block, make (inc, 3 sc). Make 5 chains. Go to the next block (12 stitches) and make 12 sc. Make 5 chains again. Go to the last block and make (3 sc, inc). This forms the base of the shirt with spaces for sleeves, totaling 32 available stitches. Chain 1, turn, and make (inc, 30 sc, inc) for 34 sc. Crochet two more rows of 34 sc, chaining 1 and turning each time. For buttonholes, make 2 sc, 4 chains, 3 sc, 4 chains, and 1 sc on the edge. Finish with slip stitches along the top edge and single crochets along the other edge. Fasten off.
For the sleeves, join black yarn in the lower corner of the armhole. Working around the armhole (approximately 3 sc, 4 sc, 3 sc, 5 sc), make 15 sc. Crochet three more rounds of 15 sc. Fasten off and repeat for the other sleeve. For the white border, join white yarn in the lower corner, working in BLO, and make slip stitches along the entire edge. Chain 1, turn, and make single crochets, picking up the complete slip stitch and the previous BLO loop. Fasten off. Sew two buttons on the back of the shirt to align with the buttonholes. Embroider or paint the Stray Kids (SKZ) logo on the front, referring to the reference image. Cut a small white felt rectangle and glue it to a specific point on the shirt. Finally, put the shirt on Wolf Chan.
Our beautiful Wolf Chan is now complete with his shirt. The creator expresses it's their favorite SKZOO amigurumi.
