ICU Patient Clinical Progress Update

The patient is currently in the ICU, ventilated via tracheostomy on PSV mode with 36% FiO2, a respiratory rate of 14, and PEEP of 6. Recent blood gases show a pH of 7.4, PO2 of 67.8, and PCO2 of 57.1. Efforts are underway to wean the patient to T-piece ventilation.

The patient is on an extensive medication regimen including IV antibiotics, anticonvulsants (Epilim, Keppra), steroids, diuretics, and blood pressure management (Amloc, Cardura). Nutrition and hydration are maintained via PEG feeds at 60ml/hr and 5% Dextrose water.

The patient has a vacuum drain in the left groin/thigh area that is showing improvement, though wound closure is required before transfer. A PICC line was removed for MCS. No seizures have been noted, and the patient continues to be monitored for diarrhea and elevated CRP levels.
