The host introduces Carlos García, a renowned Colombian journalist who claims to have seen a demon and has photographic evidence to support his story. The encounter took place in the Santa María bullring, making it one of Colombia's most famous paranormal cases with physical evidence.
Carlos explains he was covering a protest by novilleros (apprentice bullfighters) who were on a hunger strike outside the bullring after its closure by then-mayor Gustavo Petro. On a Tuesday night, needing a story, he decided to interview them about a visit from a famous bullfighter planned for the next day.
Carlos arrives to find the novilleros already terrified. About 30-40 minutes prior, they had entered the bullring to get water and took a photo. One of them posted it to Facebook and started receiving notifications about a strange shadow in the background. This entity, visible in the photograph, had deeply frightened them.
Despite his initial skepticism and the novilleros' fear, Carlos and his driver enter the bullring to use the restroom. As they walk down a dark corridor, a door swings open, and the entity appears. Carlos describes it as a being in a resplendent white tunic, with no feet, literally levitating. He was startled but also tried to rationalize the event.
Carlos describes the entity as having a human-like male figure. He specifically remembers seeing a snout, like that of a pig, while others with him recall fierce, red bull-like eyes. It was taller than him, around 1.75 to 1.80 meters, and its white tunic was unlike anything he had ever seen. The creature vanished as suddenly as it appeared, leaving him and his companions terrified.
The experience left Carlos traumatized for months, affecting him emotionally and spiritually. He sought refuge in prayer and the Bible, deepening his faith. He believes the encounter was a 'spiritual attack' that, ultimately, strengthened his connection with God.
Carlos recounts other minor paranormal incidents, like hearing the keyboard of a deceased colleague at night in the newsroom. He also mentions an incident where a colleague heard a voice from an old, unconnected recorder in the same building, which is known for its antique radio museum and various paranormal reports.
Carlos shares an experience related to Bogota's 'Cementerio del Sur' (South Cemetery), where people go to pray to the souls of the departed. While investigating local legends, a taxi driver called him, shaken, after picking up a woman near the cemetery who transformed into a terrifying, witch-like figure with an awful voice.
Carlos also talks about the harsh realities he witnessed while reporting on the streets at night, highlighting the hidden lives of people in precarious situations, like those living in sewers and under bridges in Bogotá. He shares a particularly moving story of spending hours with youths and a pregnant woman living in a canal, who were just grateful to be heard.
Carlos firmly believes in divine protection, recounting an incident where an intuition led him to instruct his driver to keep the car running and his door open, saving them from an armed person seeking revenge at a crime scene. He attributes these intuitions to the 'force of the Holy Spirit' and his deep spiritual connection.
He shares a very personal story from his childhood where his mother, in an act of courage and faith, confronted armed men threatening his father by invoking the name of Jesus, causing them to falter and leave.
Carlos describes instances where he, and others, felt a pervasive sense of evil or profound sadness at crime scenes. He mentions a brutal murder in a wetland area of Bogotá, where the 'energy of that night was brutal,' and a suicide in San Mateo where the prevailing emotion was 'much sadness'.
Carlos reaffirms his belief that the bullring entity still exists. He thanks the host for the interview and provides his social media handles (@agenciatmc and @carlosGarciaTMC) for those interested in contacting him or his advertising agency.
