Summary
Highlights
The Intercultural Passport encompasses both the virtual module participants are currently following and the certificate received upon its successful completion. Both the learning journey and the final certificate are equally important.
The Intercultural Passport consists of two main components: a massive online open course (MOOC) on intercultural awareness and cultural diversity, and a digital story. The digital story should capture an international or intercultural experience that promoted reflection on intercultural communication and cultural diversity benefits. Participants are encouraged to be creative and can find a digital storytelling manual on the FRIENDS project website for guidance.
Upon successful completion of the MOOC and submission of the digital story, participants will receive an Intercultural Passport certificate, which is equivalent to four ECTS (European credits) and recognized by their home university. Beyond academic credit, the program aims to enhance understanding of cross-cultural studies, improve intercultural competence, and foster greater tolerance, understanding, and compassion towards people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
