Differences Between Islam and Christianity

The Bible, with 1,189 chapters and 783,000 words written over 1500 years claims to be the inspired word of God, detailing creation to eternity with prophecies affirmed by Jesus. The Quran, with 114 chapters and 78,000 words revealed to Muhammad over 22 years, lacks chronological order and contains few general prophecies.

The Abrahamic Covenant, found in Genesis 12-17, includes a land, a nation, and a lineage through Isaac, from whom Jesus Christ descends. Ishmael, Abraham's son through Hagar, is the father of the Arab people, but the covenant's fulfillment comes through Isaac.

Islam believes the Abrahamic Covenant was intended for Ishmael’s offspring, denies Jesus's role as savior, the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and claims the Bible has been corrupted, asserts Muhammad is greater than Jesus and is the last prophet.

Jesus performed countless miracles and fulfilled prophecies, claiming to be God in the flesh, lived a sinless life, died for sins, and was resurrected. Muhammad performed no miracles, fulfilled no prophecies, did not claim to be divine, married multiple times, and had a natural birth.

The Quran denies Jesus is the Son of God, that he died on the cross, and that believers in Jesus are cursed. These teachings are contrasted with the angel Gabriel's message in the Bible about Jesus.

Christianity teaches salvation through faith in Jesus Christ's sacrifice, whereas Islam teaches salvation through keeping the five pillars, a works-based approach.

The Bible says those who deny Jesus Christ are antichrists and even if an angel preaches another gospel is it to be accursed. There is only one way to heaven with Jesus Christ at the center.

Islam attempts to conquer the world for Allah by any means necessary. The Quran commands to fight non-believers, destroy enemies, mobilize armies, and make non-muslims scared to death.

The Quran promotes Jihad to establish Islam, with Muslim jihadists driving conflicts. The Antichrist may likely be a Muslim, and believers should remain steadfast in their faith in Jesus Christ during these turbulent times.
