Numichi helps users who read a lot of documents. The Numichi Chrome extension is required and easily installed from the Google Chrome store. It allows highlighting and commenting on webpages.
A task space is a project's workspace containing input documents like webpages, PDFs, emails, and web clips. A new task space is created, named, and collaborators can be specified. The presenter's project focuses on software application development tools.
The Numichi Chrome extension is enabled, and the correct task space is selected. Web pages are added to the task space using the plus button. Important snippets of text are highlighted, and comments can be added. Images can also be captured with comments.
The task space screen consists of three panes: the task space pane (left), the document pane (middle) which lists documents and their attributes (PDF files, web clips, emails, webpages from Box, OneDrive, Dropbox), and the reading pane (right). The view digest button aggregates highlights, notes, and comments across all documents.
The digest can be shared via email (Outlook, Gmail), as a PDF file, or as a Numichi notes file. It can also be shared on social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp) or via a link that can be private (Numichi users with access) or public (anyone with the link).
A digest contains highlights, comments, notes, document title, image and description, and a 'deep link' to the original document's location. Clicking the deep link takes you to the exact spot in the document, providing context for report writing or presentations, regardless of the file type or location.
Numichi helps build brand presence on social media. Text snippets are highlighted in an article, commentary is added, and shared it on social media platforms, such as LinkedIn.
The video recaps installing the Numichi Chrome extension, creating a task space, adding a webpage, creating highlights and comments, reviewing the Numichi digest, exploring deep links, publishing the digest, and posting an annotated webpage on LinkedIn. sign up for a free acount at www.numichi.com
