Highlights
A treacherous wolf sees a stork family flying with eggs in their nest, sparking an idea to eat the eggs. Meanwhile, a baby duck, who can't fly, is left behind by his stork siblings who jokingly warn him about the wolf.
The baby duck, practicing his flying, discovers a pair of shining red shoes. Upon putting them on, he instantly takes flight and joins his stork family in the sky, much to their surprise and the wolf's observation.
Amazed by the magic shoes, the wolf devises a plan. That night, he sneaks into the nest and steals the glowing red shoes, intending to use them to get to the stork eggs in the morning.
Waking up, the baby duck finds his magic shoes gone and his family missing. He soon spots the wolf flying overhead with his stolen shoes, heading towards the stork eggs, making the duck realize the danger.
Despite his inability to fly, the baby duck, motivated to protect the eggs, musters all his courage and flaps his wings as hard as he can. For the very first time, he successfully takes flight on his own.
The baby duck lands near the wolf, snatches the magic shoes, and pulls them off the wolf. The stork family arrives, driving the wolf into a swamp. The baby duck is celebrated for his bravery and learns that he doesn't need magic shoes, only courage and perseverance, to fly.
