The friends begin their challenge blindfolded and kidnapped, then abandoned in what they soon discover is rural Wales. Their mission: complete nine challenges using only given tools to return to London by 7:30 PM for a dinner reservation, without using their phones. They quickly realize they are near Cowbridge, 162 miles from London, and the journey will require completing challenges to unlock transportation.
The team attempts their first challenge: taking a close-up selfie with an animal. Despite encountering sheep and a duck, they debate whether their photos meet the "close-up" criteria. Frustration grows when one member, George, jokingly discards the only map they have, leading to arguments about its utility and their direction. They eventually retrieve the map but remain indecisive about their next move to find a village center or a dog for a new selfie attempt.
After much debate and wandering, they encounter a dog named Indie and successfully take a group selfie up close, completing their first challenge. This earns them a dice roll for a mode of transport. However, they roll a 'seven,' which grants them e-bikes—a useful but currently unavailable option in their rural location. They decide to find a pub for another challenge, despite a local's slightly misleading directions.
A previous dice roll resulted in a penalty: one person had to keep their feet off the ground for 30 minutes. This leads to a series of exhausting piggybacks and fireman's carries, with different team members struggling to transport Arthur. The challenge severely hinders their progress, exhausting the team both physically and mentally, all while they are still trying to reach Cowbridge.
They finally arrive in Cowbridge and complete another challenge by having a "cold group photo" approved by their Instagram followers. They find a pub and complete a challenge by ordering what an unsuspecting patron had for lunch: a fish finger stack. Another dice roll earns them a taxi, which transports them to Cardiff Central Station, marking significant progress towards London.
At Cardiff Station, their next challenge is to 'get on the next vehicle leaving the station.' This turns out to be a train to Corington, taking them further into Cardiff and not towards London. They realize their mistake and decide to get off at a closer stop, only to find themselves back in Cardiff. They aim to get to Bristol Parkway, a station with direct trains to London.
While searching for a pub in Bristol to complete another challenge (darts bullseye), they stumble upon a pub with a questionable atmosphere and potentially racist undertones, but decide to go in anyway. They successfully hit the bullseye, which allows them another dice roll. This roll grants them an hour-long train journey, setting them on the right path to London.
Their dice roll results in two members having to be blindfolded for 30 minutes, further complicating their journey. They attempt to navigate the train station and portion of the train journey blindfolded, supported by their teammates. They finally take off their blindfolds at London Paddington Station, invigorated but running out of time.
Arriving at London Paddington, they realize they are cutting it extremely close. They activate their e-bikes and electric scooters for a frantic race to the restaurant. Despite their desperate efforts and a final sprint, they arrive at the restaurant 5 to 9, discovering their table is gone, and they have missed their dinner reservation. The challenges and delays proved too much, leading to a humorous but ultimately unsuccessful attempt.
