The Mystical Qualities of Stonehenge00:00:55

The song 'Stonehenge' begins, describing the location as a place where 'demons dwell' and 'banshees live,' highlighting its supernatural and eerie atmosphere. It also portrays Stonehenge as a place where 'a man's a man' and children dance to the 'pipes of Pan,' suggesting a wild, primal energy associated with the site.

Magic, Virgins, and Midnight Prayers00:01:26

The lyrics continue to paint Stonehenge as a 'magic place,' where the moon 'doth rise with a dragon's face.' It further references 'virgins lie' and 'prayers of devils fill the midnight sky,' enhancing the mysterious and somewhat dark imagery of the monument.

Invitation to a Mystic Journey00:01:45

The song shifts to an invitational tone, asking the listener to 'take my hand' and go 'back in time to that mystic land.' It describes a place 'where the dew drops cry and the cats meow,' promising to take and show the way, emphasizing a journey into the unknown past.

The Children of Stonehenge00:02:34

The narrative concludes with an image of the 'little children of Stonehenge' dancing 'beneath the haunted moon,' fearing that 'daybreak might come too soon.' This reinforces the ancient, mysterious, and perhaps even ritualistic atmosphere of Stonehenge and its inhabitants.
