Ramayana Katha - Sita Swayamvar, Shiva Dhanush, Shri Ram Parshuram Samvad

Shri Ram and Lakshman arrive in Mithila with Sage Vishwamitra. Ram prepares mentally for the Swayamvar, focusing on fulfilling the task rather than the competition among princes.

King Janaka invites the guests to the court. The condition for marriage is announced: whoever can lift and string the divine bow of Lord Shiva will marry Princess Sita.

Despite their pride, powerful kings and warriors from across the land fail to even move the bow, leaving King Janaka in despair about his promise.

At the command of Guru Vishwamitra, Shri Ram approaches the Shiva Dhanush, lifts it with ease, and strings it. As he pulls the string, the bow snaps, signaling his victory.

Upon hearing the sound of the broken bow, a furious Parshuram arrives. A heated exchange ensues between him and Lakshman, later calmed by Shri Ram's humility and respectful demeanor.

Parshuram recognizes Rama's divinity and departs. King Janaka is advised to invite King Dasharatha from Ayodhya to finalize the wedding arrangements according to tradition.
