Interview with Aiden

Aiden introduces himself and states he was in ninth grade last year. He mentions that he missed summer school due to lack of transportation and believes he might be held back a grade. He also talks about the long wait times for getting a driver's permit and license.

The interviewer, Eric, explains the recording devices in the room (microphone and camera) and clarifies their purpose is for professional use, not for sharing with family or friends. He sets up rules for the interview: telling the truth without fear of trouble, admitting when he doesn't know an answer, and correcting the interviewer if they are wrong.

Aiden recounts his day starting from waking up. He tried to wake his brother Xavier and friend Joseph. He then played Fortnite until his mom called, informing him they had to go to an unknown place and asking him to get his younger siblings (aged seven and eight) ready. His mom arrived home, Aiden took a shower, and then they drove to the interview location in his mom's black van. Aiden also mentions he hasn't eaten anything all day, only had water.
