The Sidemen arrive at ClueQuest for an escape room challenge. Josh is late, becoming the subject of jokes. They split into two teams, with Harry and JJ as captains, determined by rock, paper, scissors. The escape room's premise is unveiled: they are secret agents recruited to find a double agent's face within 60 minutes.
The teams begin searching for clues. They find keys, Lego bricks with words, and a wallet full of money. JJ's team struggles initially, leading to comedic radio calls for hints from mission control. They uncover a numerical code by adding up the money and a word puzzle based on tactile letters.
JJ's team solves more codes, including one from the Orwell quote, opening new compartments and revealing additional red and blue cards. Josh, having arrived, helps solve a puzzle involving Russian dolls, providing more numbers. They connect a power cable to a laptop, hinting at further digital clues.
The team works on powering up a laptop. A password hint, 'too windy,' leads them to a fan with hidden numbers. They eventually find a face, identified as Jake Paul, from a series of images, which they believe is the double agent's face. They also discover a message 'Not over yet' and a long numerical code.
They encounter a red box with an internal camera controlled by ropes. By manipulating the ropes, they find a three-digit code. With only 11 minutes remaining, they realize the previous 'Not over yet' clue is a literal message. Despite their efforts, they fail to escape within the initial 60 minutes and 'die' in an explosion.
Mission control informs them they found the double agent's face but failed to escape. However, they are granted an additional nine minutes and 51 seconds, and 'lives' are restored. They continue with a binary code puzzle, eventually cracking the final lock and escaping the room with moments to spare.
The team celebrates their escape. JJ introduces a surprise forfeit for the losing team. After a comical 'black or white' toss, JJ loses and is forced to lick Josh's beard, marking the end of the escape room challenge.
