Fred insists on performing a magic act in the talent show despite Mr. Greenrind's concerns. His first trick, an invisibility spell, accidentally makes a tree invisible. He struggles to reverse the spell, and an attempt by Bingo accidentally turns Mr. Greenrind into a talking bagpipe, among other strange transformations among the audience.
Mr. Greenrind, despite enjoying his newfound bagpipe virtuosity, is convinced by Bingo to make Fred read the reversal spells from his book. Fred successfully casts a universal reversal spell, returning everyone to normal. For his unintentional 'magic', Fred is awarded first prize in the talent show, much to Bingo's dismay who immediately implements a rule preventing past winners from re-entering.
Fred constructs a 'luxury amuse-hotel' overnight, combining a hotel with an amusement park. He names his roller coaster 'Nutmare' and invites everyone. Mr. Greenrind is randomly selected as the VIP guest, much to his horror. Fred promises to stay by his side and make him the happiest watermelon.
Fred introduces his staff, including Bingo as manager, Slip and Slide as bellhops, and Rusty as the freebie dispenser. Mr. Greenrind, wanting to warm up, is taken on the 'Nutmare' roller coaster. The ride is chaotic, going through various parts of the island and even a boat, leaving Mr. Greenrind feeling squished and covered in pudding.
Fred takes Mr. Greenrind to the tanning salon, which turns out to be an intense tanning bed. Next, they go to 'Coconut Falls', which is essentially being flushed down a giant toilet. Mr. Greenrind attempts to escape during an unsolicited VIP 'brunch' but is caught by Fred, who is exhausted from staying up all night. Fred then subjects Mr. Greenrind to a 'Bungee-vator' ride.
Overwhelmed, Mr. Greenrind attempts to escape the amuse-hotel. He believes he's found the exit but is met by a 'Spri-bot' parade. He eventually tells Fred he just wants to relax in his hammock. Fred quickly arranges a hammock for Mr. Greenrind who finally finds peace. However, Fred, having stayed up all night, struggles to sleep before sunset, leading to humorous attempts to make the sun go down.
