Highlights
Literacy is a fundamental skill in early education, crucial for students' cognitive, social, and emotional development. This study proposes FLITARA, an interactive digital flipbook, as a learning solution to improve reading literacy through engaging Nusantara culture materials for elementary school students in the era of Society 5.0.
The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, following the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, pre-test and post-test assessments, and expert validation.
The study revealed that the FLITARA medium achieved a very high validity rating from experts. Empirically, it significantly improved reading literacy and increased learning participation among third-grade primary school students. Furthermore, FLITARA contributed to the internalization of cultural values and the development of students' character contextually, reinforcing the importance of integrating digital technology with local culture to foster national identity and achieve sustainable educational goals.
