Pledge of Allegiance00:01:56

The children stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, with some guidance on hand placement and pronunciation.

New Songs and ABC Rock00:04:32

The teacher introduces three new songs: Conga Lina, Sally the Camel, and ABC Rock. A child named Scott chooses ABC Rock, and the class practices singing it, following a call-and-response pattern and adjusting their volume.

Calendar Time: Month, Day, and Date00:09:52

The class discusses the calendar, identifying October as the month and practicing sounding it out. They then try to guess the day of the week, eventually concluding it's Tuesday. They count to eight to determine the date.

Counting and Clapping00:13:21

A child is chosen to roll a die, and the class claps their hands eight times to match the number. They then confidently state the full date: 'Tuesday, October Eighth'.

Weather Discussion and Voting00:14:34

The children discuss the weather, debating whether it's sunny, cloudy, or both. They practice voting to decide on 'partly cloudy' and determine the temperature is 'hot' based on their clothing.

Analyzing Weather and Temperature Data00:15:15

The teacher reviews the accumulated weather and temperature data, identifying which weather type (sunny) and temperature (hot) they've had the most, and noting that 'partly cloudy' and 'snowy' are equal as the least.

Warrior Yoga Pose00:15:30

The children learn and practice the 'Warrior' yoga pose, following instructions to spread their feet, turn them, raise their arms, and bend their knee, while repeating affirmations like 'I am strong in heart,' 'I support myself,' 'I am ready to act,' and 'I am trustworthy'.
