The Mentalist - Red Brick and Ivy

Patrick Jane and the CBI team arrive at a beach to investigate the murder of teenager Christine Tanner. While Lisbon focuses on questioning her grieving, over-dependent father, Jack Tanner, Jane uses unconventional tactics and keen observation to narrow down the local surfing community as the prime suspects.

Initial suspicions point toward 'Flipper,' an older man known to associate with Christine, and Danny Kurtik's father. However, after Jane orchestrates a fake hypnosis session to pressure Christine's friends, the true story emerges: Danny Kurtik accidentally killed a security guard at a construction site during a party. When Christine threatened to report the incident, her friends collectively decided to silence her to protect themselves.

Hope confesses that she struck Christine with a shovel out of jealousy and a desire to protect Danny, after which Christine was drowned. Ultimately, Danny, Hope, Win, and Andy are all arrested for their roles in the murder. Lisbon supports Jack Tanner, urging him to seek help to be present for his remaining children.
