In Omaha, Ali befriended Thomas, a well-dressed Christian who shared his faith with him. Ali was initially motivated by curiosity and pride but eventually grew closer to Thomas because Christians know how to be fishermen, so follow Jesus, he knows where the fish come from.
Ali decided to 'test' Jesus by tithing, influenced by Malachi 3:10. To his surprise, he received an unexpected sum of money, leading him to acknowledge God's power.
Ali avoided Thomas, but his stubbornness didn't stop God. The Lord started to work on him by sending friends and evangelists his way, he started going to the bible study for the food and ended up getting served with the spiritual Bread of Heaven.
Ali was avoiding his friends when one day the Gospel of John came up as a suggestion on Netflix. While watching it he broke down and pulled a sheet from the bible left by Dan years ago. that night, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Ali shares Matthew 10 with his family and tells them that he's now Christian. His family called him whenever they had a difficult time and asked to pray.
