Responsibilities of a Product Development Lead

The Product Development Lead is tasked with driving product development to create innovative products, processes, and systems that meet business needs. This involves timely product development utilizing innovative ingredients and processes, informed by consumer and technical insights.

Trial Management and Compliance

A key aspect of the role is managing product trials, from bench and pilot plant stages through to factory scale-up. All developed products must adhere to 60/40+ and other corporate guidelines, as well as agreed-upon timelines.

Collaboration, Documentation, and Communication

The Lead works within project teams across various departments including R&D, Application Groups, Markets, Factories, and Business Units. They also participate in and present at Product Development workshops for Application Groups. Comprehensive documentation of all product development activities, from ideation to launch (I2L), is required. Effective communication of findings to stakeholders and partners is crucial.

Intellectual Asset Management

The role ensures the application of intellectual asset management practices, including Freedom to Operate, Prior Art, and Protection Strategy, alongside general compliance.
