Andy's mom tells him he needs to deal with his old toys before going to college. She suggests donating them to Sunnyside, but Andy believes no one will want them. She gives him until Friday to pack what he wants to take or store in the attic, otherwise, they will be thrown out.
The toys are packed into a box and taken to Sunnyside Daycare. Buzz Lightyear, excited about the new possibilities, welcomes the idea of being donated. They meet other toys, including Ken, who gives them a tour of their new home.
While the other toys are excited about being played with by new kids, Woody remains steadfast in his loyalty to Andy. He declares that they are Andy's toys and plans their escape. Despite the challenges and the warnings from other toys at Sunnyside, Woody is determined to get back to Andy before he leaves for college.
Woody rallies the toys to listen up and prepare to bust out of Sunnyside. He emphasizes that he'll never give up on them and they must stick together to make it home to Andy.
