Initial Presentation and Assessment

On 22/07, the patient was admitted with redness in the right lower leg and stump, accompanied by audible wheezing, dyspnoea, and chest tightness. Initial treatment included oxygen via nasal cannula (4L), IV Lasix, and cardiac monitoring.

Ongoing Monitoring and Interventions (23/07 - 25/07)

The patient remained in the unit with persistent respiratory symptoms. Interventions included Albusol and Lasix infusions, CVP line insertion, and urinary catheterization. Multiple physicians (Drs. Naiker, Khan, Ntola, Ramkisson) oversaw ongoing blood work, fluid management, and medication adjustments.

Stabilization and Continued Care (26/07 - 29/07)

By late July, the patient remained stable on 2L of oxygen, with respiratory and cardiac status closely monitored. Treatment included ongoing IV antibiotics (Invanz), Lasix, and NaCl infusions. Potassium levels were managed following reports of hyperkalemia. The patient was prepared for transfer to the ward at the conclusion of the updates.
