Finn finds himself alone in a dangerous dungeon, lamenting the absence of Jake, who would normally help him. He faces challenges but remains determined to find the crystal eye. A mysterious 'guardian angel' appears, offering help and leading Finn towards the crystal eye's chamber.

Jake arrives, having faced his own obstacles while searching for Finn. He uses his shape-shifting abilities to help them escape from a cage. They still need to get the crystal eye to win a bet Finn made about accomplishing something without Jake.

Finn and Jake try to grab the crystal eye but are confronted by a large, multi-headed creature. They learn the importance of working together instead of trying to be independent. The princess, disguised as the creature's head, reveals herself and emphasizes the value of cooperation and her own intelligence.
