Why we do this
Shorty grows by word of mouth, not ad budgets. When you bring in someone who ends up paying for Shorty, we'd rather share that revenue with you than spend it on ads. That's the whole program: one rate for everyone, no applications, no fine print beyond the Partner Terms.
The terms
How payouts work
- Commissions are held up to 120 days to cover refunds and chargebacks; the hold gets shorter as your referrals prove out.
- Payouts run through Stripe, so the first withdrawal asks you to complete a one-time Stripe setup.
- The minimum payout is $50.
What counts
- Paid subscriptions and their renewals count, for the referred customer's first 12 months.
- A sign-up counts when it comes within 90 days of the last click on your link.
- Refunds and chargebacks reverse the commission.
- Your own accounts don't count.
Questions
30% of what everyone you refer pays Shorty, before taxes and payment fees, for their first 12 months, renewals included. Every partner earns the same rate, with no cap.
Once your cleared earnings reach $50 you can withdraw. Commissions are held up to 120 days to cover refunds and chargebacks; the hold gets shorter as your referrals prove out.
A commission is pending while the payment it came from can still be refunded or disputed. When that hold ends it is cleared and counts toward your $50 minimum. It shows as paid once a payout reaches you.
90 days from the click. If they sign up later than that, or clear their cookies first, the sign-up isn't credited.
Anyone who is new to Shorty. You cannot refer yourself, and a customer who already has an account is not attributed to your link.
Anyone 18 or over. Payouts go through Stripe, so Stripe must support payouts to your country; you'll see that when you first withdraw.
A refunded or charged-back payment takes its commission back. If the commission was already paid out, the amount is netted against your future earnings until it is recovered.
No. Your link already exists and earnings accrue without any setup. Stripe payout details are only asked for when you withdraw.
No. Their price is the same as everyone's; you earn a commission on it.
