Frequently asked questions
- Is this tool free, and do I need an account?
- This tool is free with no account required. The interactive tool processes your input in your browser.
- Which timestamp formats can I use?
- Enter a number of seconds, minutes:seconds, hours:minutes:seconds or an h/m/s duration such as 1h2m3s. The link stores the start time in seconds.
- Does this tool check or download the video?
- No. It creates a timestamp link from the YouTube URL without fetching the video. It does not check availability or whether the chosen time is within the video.
- Can I use this tool through an API?
- Yes. The public API needs no key, accepts requests from other websites and returns JSON or Markdown. Requests are limited to 60 per 60 seconds per IP across the free tools, with a 512 KB request body limit.
