NEW Peugeot 2008 review – the small SUV you should buy? | What Car?

The 2023 facelift introduces a new grille design, the Peugeot 'shield' emblem, 'three-claw' LED light signatures, and updated rear light bars to modernize its concept-car aesthetic.

All models now feature a 10-inch touchscreen. While the interior materials are high-quality, the 'i-Cockpit' design with a small steering wheel can create visibility issues for shorter drivers.

The rear seating offers decent space, though it is tighter than the Skoda Kamiq. The boot provides 434 liters of space with a clever height-adjustable floor.

The 1.2-liter petrol engines are punchy and capable. However, the 8-speed automatic gearbox is criticized for being jerky, especially around town, and the suspension leans toward softness compared to the sharper Ford Puma.

Peugeot simplified the lineup into Active, Allure, and GT trims. While it faces stiff competition from the Puma, T-Roc, and Kamiq, the 2008 remains a competent, stylish choice if customers avoid the problematic automatic transmission.
