A new Betaal, Alok, expresses terror and confusion about his transformation, feeling strange as he loses his pulse and heartbeat. He grieves his lost ambitions and his ability to enjoy simple pleasures like Rajma-chawal.

Alok's family becomes suspicious, noticing his bizarre behavior and accusing him of not being their son. An inspector arrives to investigate, with the family's cooperation leading to comedic misunderstandings.

Alok tries to separate from a woman he cares for, fearing he might put her in danger. However, she suggests they live together instead, acknowledging the differences in their worlds but still wanting to be with him.

Alok's father assures him of divine protection. The question arises if a Betaal can ever be cured and become human again, met with a sarcastic analogy about an omelette turning back into an egg, highlighting the permanent nature of the transformation.
